The Influence of Employee Remuneration on Their Level of Productivity

Remuneration is defined as "the reward or compensation given to the employees for their work performances" in the Management Study Guide. "the reward or compensation given to the employees for their work performances." A technique that can be used to improve morale, foster team unity, and inspire greater effort is enumeration. Workers are typically paid using one of two methods: the piece rate approach or the hourly rate method. Unit productivity compensation is the first sort of payment. Examples of this kind of work include developing software or constructing a machine. The latter is the amount of time devoted to a task by an employee, such as working quickly to finish a project before its deadline (Campbell, 2020).

Employee motivation can be increased by the use of renumeration, which does not have to be monetary in nature. Praise and acknowledgment are synonyms for enumeration. However, monetary rewards, such as a pay raise or promotion, can go a long way toward boosting motivation and productivity (Fell, 2016).

If team members are financially rewarded for their efforts, they will put in more time and effort for their individual benefit and the team's. It is possible for sales managers to use team compensation to boost the number of new accounts opened, the volume of orders from existing accounts, and the number of potential new accounts developed. Teaming up employees to achieve a similar goal has been shown to enhance productivity, especially when team members are offered financial incentives like bonuses and commissions for their efforts (Randstad, 2018).





Conclusion

Renumeration generally has a beneficial influence on the morale of employees, but only if the rewards are seen as being equal. In other words, the practice of paying employees with progressive or tiered incentives based on which worker is the most productive, which worker is the second most productive, and so on. These bonuses are awarded to employees on the basis of which worker is the most productive. It is better for morale all around to create a succession of goals that each employee has a shot at accomplishing as opposed to having a single, lofty objective that only one individual has a chance of obtaining.
